Indonesia bans adultery and live-in relationships under new rules

Indonesia's new criminal code brings in a variety of new rules, including forbidding sex outside of marriage. According to the amended law, having intercourse outside of marriage carries a one-year prison sentence and cohabiting by six-month sentence, although accusations of adultery must be backed by police reports filed by a spouse, parents, or children. Foreigners residing in Indonesia or travelling to tourist destinations like Bali are subject to the same laws as Indonesian citizens. The law states that unmarried couples who are caught having intercourse might face a sentence of one year in jail. The law also forbids unmarried couples from living together. It is an offence under the law and can result in a prison sentence of up to six months. Adultery will be a crime punishable by imprisonment as well. Delhi to provide 450 different types of medical diagnostics for free from January 1st

The PTI reported that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has given nod to a health department proposal for making 238 more tests free of cost at hospitals and Mohalla Clinics. Beginning on January 1, the Arvind Kejriwal administration in Delhi will offer 450 different medical tests without charge at its clinics and hospitals. There are currently 212 medical tests that are offered by the Delhi government without charge. Travellers to Sabarimala are Allowed to Carry Coconuts in Cabin Luggage - Thefirstraynews

 The aviation security regulator BCAS has temporarily loosened the rules so that pilgrims flying to the Sabarimala temple in Kerala may bring coconuts on board. The clearance has been granted for the current Sabarimala season, which will conclude in late January, according to a senior official of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS). Every year, thousands of worshippers flock to the hill temple, and the majority of them carry an "Irumudi Kettu" (the sacred bag containing offerings, including coconut filled with ghee, to the Lord). Coconuts intended for offering as part of the Sabarimala pilgrimage have been allowed to be carried in cabin luggage for a limited time, according to an official who spoke to the Press Trust of India. The official added that further security safeguards and inspections had been implemented in this regard.
